ACEL Strengthens Its Competitive Position with a New Market Area: Switchboard Systems
ACEL is further strengthening its competitive position by establishing Switchboard Systems as the Group’s fifth market area, bringing management, engineering, and production together in new facilities. With dedicated market leadership, a unified professional environment, and the co-location of key functions in new premises in Breivika, the Group is enhancing its capacity and ability to deliver competitive solutions to a market experiencing strong demand for electrical power and control systems.
“By establishing Switchboard Systems as a separate market area, we strengthen our focus on an area where we already possess strong expertise and extensive experience. This provides a stronger foundation for meeting both national and international demand while further developing the business to a new level,” says Anders Vedlog, CEO of ACEL Group.
Over the past years, ACEL Group has experienced remarkable growth and further strengthened its position as a leading provider of electrification, automation, and energy systems. Today, the Group delivers solutions for everything from marine vessels and offshore wind projects to industrial facilities, process, and commercial buildings. Establishing Switchboard Systems as a dedicated market area is a natural step in the continued development of a business segment where ACEL already possesses significant experience and solid technical expertise.
Another key initiative is the co-location of market leadership, design, and production in new facilities of approximately 2,200 square meters at Breivikgården. By bringing these functions together, ACEL gains greater ownership of the entire value chain, from development and engineering to manufacturing and delivery.
“When management, engineering, and production work even more closely together, we strengthen quality, ensure better project flow, and achieve greater control over both progress and execution. This creates greater predictability for our customers and enhances our ability to handle increasing activity levels without compromising quality,” says Marius Granlien, COO of ACEL Group.
The expansion provides increased capacity to develop and deliver competitive solutions to a broad external market, while the business continues to play an important role within ACEL’s overall delivery organization.
As part of the initiative, a dedicated leadership position will be established for the market area, and the process of identifying the right candidate is already underway. The investment also creates a platform for continued development and strengthened recruitment efforts. ACEL will continue to build expertise and create local jobs, while seeking skilled candidates who want to help develop a leading professional environment within electrical power and control systems.
