ACEL Group secures complete delivery to two new hybrid vessels at Vaagland Båtbyggeri AS
ACEL Group has been awarded a contract for complete electrical installation, energy storage and system integration for buildings no. 160 and 162 at Vaagland Båtbyggeri. The vessels have been ordered by Abyss AS and are based on a further developed version of the yard's building no. 159, adapted to a new end customer.
In the project, we deliver total electrical installation on board, while Haf Power Solutions AS (HPS) delivers its self-developed, type-approved marine battery system and cLion for energy management, monitoring and integration. Together, this constitutes a fully integrated delivery from ACEL Group – one responsible partner for power, storage and control.
Haf Power Solutions AS battery system is designed for demanding marine operations, with high energy density, fast response and long service life. The modular architecture enables scalable configurations for different vessel sizes and operation profiles, and meets stringent safety and certification requirements.
Marius Granlien, COO of ACEL Group:
"With Haf Power Solutions AS own battery system combined with cLion and our installation expertise, we deliver a holistic solution for performance, safety and sustainability. This project shows what ACEL Group can achieve when we bring together engineering, production and system integration under the same umbrella."
Gunnar Nordbø, CEO Vaagland Båtbyggeri AS:
"We have a long-standing and solid collaboration with ACEL AS and have always had confidence in their ability to deliver complex projects within the deadlines. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with ACEL Group and know that we can rely on their technical expertise and flexibility to ensure a successful delivery."
